ASTM
American Society for Testing and Materials;
Member F-08 Committee on Sports Standards
ASET Services has regularly attended both the spring and fall ASTM F-O8
Committee
meetings since 2002. ASET participates in meetings for a variety of
sports surfaces from indoor courts, to natural and artificial turf,
time permitting. ASET is currently active in the development of both a
force reduction and indoor court surfaces standard.
NSPE
National Society of Professional Engineers;
Member
ASET Services' President and founder is a member of NSPE. NSPE as well as ISPE
(Indiana Society of Professional Engineers) have proved to be a valuable tool in
continuing education as well as professional development.
AIA
The American Institute of Architects;
National Allied Individual Member, Allied Member Indiana and Kentucky
Many of the services that ASET provides can be valuable resources to architects.
Our services include commission testing, general field testing, inspection services
as well as expert opinion/testimony. A decision was made at the time that ASET was
founded that one of its core purposes would be to provide architects with a source of
specialized testing and performance educational materials. These are posted in various
sections of ASET's library. ASET has developed a collection of material that summarizes
our services that are most commonly requested by architects.
NIRSA
National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association
Associate Member
ASET Services has developed educational poster sessions and
presentations designed for architects and facility owners, and
recreational sports personnel. These
presentations are often presented first at NIRSA conferences and then
posted on this website.
ISSS
International Association for Sports Surface Scientists
Scientific Member
ASET Services maintains a membership at the scientific level within the
International Association of Sports Surface Scientists.
